Fine-tune the generator for match mode, training mode, media needs, category behavior, difficulty balance, and repeatable selection.

🎯 Mode & Priority

Generation mode

Match mode keeps normal reuse protection; training mode is useful for drilling.

Selection priority

Decides which candidates are preferred before random tie-breaking.

Random seed

Same seed + same bank + same settings gives repeatable selections.

Media rule

Choose whether generated questions may include media.

Difficulty rule

Filter or balance by difficulty where difficulty metadata exists.

🗂️ Category Rules

Category strategy

Random is simplest; balanced spreads selections across categories.

Prefer no repeated categoryTries to avoid repeating the same category within each section. Require exact question countsWarn or skip when the generator cannot meet the requested count.

🔗 Pairing Rules

Use pair/group IDs when availableUseful when corresponding questions should be selected together for fairness.

ℹ️Pairing only activates for records that already include compatible pair or group metadata.

🌓Appearance

Switch between dark mode and light mode depending on room lighting or projector visibility.

Light mode Turn on for brighter rooms; turn off for the original dark interface.

🎛️Section-aware Subject Media Rules

Tell the generator when media is required, preferred, excluded, or unrestricted for each section and subject. These rules sit on top of the global Media Rule above.

Alternate default

Used when a subject has no specific Alternate rule.

Minute default

Default is text-only because Minute questions normally do not use media.

Buzzer default

Used when a subject has no specific Buzzer rule.

Subject-specific rules

Defaults: Local & International Affairs, Theatre & Cinema, Sports, and Music require media for Alternate/Buzzer; Art prefers media; Minute is text-only.
